Lisle Jr. High Wins Visit from Blackhawk Patrick Sharp in Goodwill Challenge

The school was a winner in the Pass It On Donation Challenge, donating nearly 75,000 items to Goodwill. Sharp will visit on Monday.

What: Goodwill’s Pass It On Donation Challenge ended this last April 30 with 1,221 schools participating and Lisle Junior High School in Lisle, IL winning a visit from Chicago Blackhawks Forward Patrick Sharp.

The school has 370 students and they donated nearly 75,000 items to Goodwill. The other top two schools were Jackson Middle School in Villa Park and Hoover Wood Elementary in Batavia.

This is the third year Goodwill sponsored this event and the schools and communities really rallied around the Pass It On promotion. All participating schools, in just the month of April, donated a total of 741,298 items – AMAZING!

Lisle Junior High School is planning an all-school assembly as well as separate visits to each classroom by Patrick Sharp.

When: Monday, October 7 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Lisle Junior High School – 5207 Center Avenue, Lisle, IL

Why: Goodwill Industries of Metropolitan Chicago sees this donation challenge as a way for the organization to publicize it’s commitment to the environment through reusing, reducing and recycling, and do so with a promotion that is fun and exciting with well-respected sports figure Patrick Sharp, of the Chicago Blackhawks.
