Jonathan Jones
Jonathan has always labeled himself as a lyrical painter: one who paints the scenery verbally. Since he first began writing for his junior high yearbook, it has been his dream to become a professional sports reporter.
Jonathan began his journalistic endeavors by writing for his high school newspaper. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2008 and resides in Schaumburg. He has worked as a sports reporter for the Daily Herald, Loop.com, Chicagosporting.com and the Chicago Tribune in Illinois and the Marion Chronicle-Tribune, Wabash Plain Dealer, Huntington Herald-Press and Peru Tribune in Central Indiana covering professional, collegiate and high school sports. Jonathan is excited to be on board the Patch.com team. He cites his professor, mentor and peer Howard Schlossberg, a Columbia College professor and Daily Herald reporter, who says, "There are no egos in high school. The athletes play for the name on the front of the jersey instead of the name on the back."
