Have You Taken Advantage of Free Lisle Business Deals?

The Village launched a new program this spring offering free fare from local businesses through their Facebook page. Have you participated?

Hey, Lisle business regulars: have you noticed an uptick in bodies milling through? In April the Village started offering free products and services from Lisle businesses through the Village of Lisle Facebook page. Each week a business owner offers a limited number of their featured deal to the Village's Facebook fans. (Customers who come in after the initial offer has been snapped up still receive a comparable deal or discount.) While the offers are open to both new and old customers, village staff said they hope the deals encourage repeat business. Free hotel staycations (from both Hilton and Wyndham) were redeemed in a hurry, but Economic Development Director Catherine Schuster said the most popular deal was a free bunch of tulips from …

No Purchase Necessary: Village Offering Free Lisle Business Deals Through Facebook Page

The Village is testing out its expanded social media reach with a new marketing promotion.

You can friend or follow just about anything on social media—your real friends and family, celebrities, organizations, upcoming movies, even food products. But are you keeping up with local government and business online? Several local businesses already spread their gospel (not to mention deals and events) through Facebook and Twitter. The Lisle Convention and Visitors Bureau oversees the Lisle, Ill. Facebook page. Heck, even Lisle Patch promotes new content and shares community messages through our Facebook and Twitter pages. While the Village operates a Twitter account to promote its seasonal French Market vendors, it is only recently that staff expanded their social media reach.
