Village, Partners for Parks Foundation Hosting Holiday Lights Recycling Drives

Don't just toss out old lights and extension cords — recycle them.

Bring old, unwanted or broken holiday lights to the Lisle Village Hall lobby, 925 Burlington Ave., where they will be collected and recycled. Lights will be accepted through Thursday, Feb. 28. The Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation will be collecting holiday lights at the Lisle Park District Recreation Center, Community Center, and Wheatstack – A Midwestern Eatery & Tap through Friday, Feb. 1. The donated holiday lights may be in any condition, as the wiring inside will be processed for scrap materials.

Recycle Old Holiday Lights for a Great Cause

Officials said in last year's first light recycling drive, a total of 1,371 pounds of scrap was recycled.

After digging out the holiday lights, have you found some aren't working? The Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation will be collecting holiday lights at the Lisle Park District Recreation Center, Community Center, and Wheatstack – A Midwestern Eatery & Tap/River Bend Golf Club through Feb. 1. The donated holiday lights may be in any condition, as the wiring inside will be processed for scrap materials. The entire proceeds from processing the materials will be donated to the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation. The Foundation uses donated funds to enrich the quality of lives in the greater Lisle community by providing scholarship funding for recreation programs and helps to advance the mission of the Lisle Park District.
