Downers Grove resident William Foley was found dead in his car Sunday in Pope County nearly two weeks after his family reported him missing.
Illinois State Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of a Downers Grove man whose body was discovered Sunday in Pope County. Bill Foley, 55, was found dead in his car around 1 p.m. in the Shawnee National Forest—roughly six hours south of Downers Grove, authorities said. Autopsy results are still pending, police said. Foley was last seen around 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, when he was leaving his job in Lombard, police said. His family reported him missing when he didn't return home. A former Marine, Foley worked at an IT company in Lombard. He grew up in Lisle, where his mother still resides, but had lived in Downers Grove for more than 20 years. UPDATED: Feb. 11, 5 a.m. The search continues for Downers Grove resident William Foley, who was reported missing Wednesday evening after he failed to return home from work. As of Sunday night, there have been no signs of Foley, according to a post by family members on the Facebook page "Help Find Bill Foley." "The search continues throughout the weekend and we are hopeful that he will be safely returned to our family," the post states. "Please continue to spread the word and also to pray for Bill. Police decline to release details about the teen, who left her home on June 29.
UPDATED: July 12, 6 p.m. A 14-year-old Downers Grove girl has been found safe, Downers Grove police said today. Elena O'Gara-Arnold, who police described in a bulletin last week as an endangered runaway, had not been seen by her parents since June 29. "She's been located and she was unharmed and she's safe," said Sgt. Dave Bormann of the Downers Grove Police Department. He declined to state where the girl was found or whether she has been hospitalized. The July 6 police bulletin said she should be transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital when found.
