Board of Education did not take any action on all day kindergarten during Tuesday's meeting at Naperville North High School.
Parents of District 203 students will have to be a little more patient on waiting for a decision about all day kindergarten. While parents ask District 203 to hold off on implementing recommended changes to school boundaries, the district is also considering all day kindergarten, which is tied to the recommended map.
Without establishing an all day kindergarten program at District 203 and with the upcoming implementation of state common core standards, the school day for kindergarten teachers and students would be insane, according to one of the district’s teachers. As the district has been exploring adjusting enrollment boundaries and relocating students to different schools, it is also discussing the implementation of an all day kindergarten.
