DuPage County Experiencing Ballot Complications

According the DuPage County Election Commission, election judges will need to remake some voter ballots after the polls close.

Oversized ballots are causing some trouble in DuPage County and across Illinois. Some voter ballots in DuPage County are too large to fit into the machines that tally votes, which means election judges will need to "remake" the ballot, said Joe Sobecki, assistant executive director of the DuPage County Election Commission.  "Everyones' ballots will be fed through the machine in this election," said Sobecki. The ballots that are too large for the machines will be placed in a locked box until the polls close at 7 p.m. At that time election judges, one from each party, will replicate those ballots and feed them through the machine to make sure each vote is counted, said Sobecki.  DuPage is not alone in experiencing this issue.
