Lights of Lisle Event This Weekend

Festivities include the Santa Parade, performances by children, cookies and hot chocolate at Village Hall, an ice carving demonstration, the annual tree lighting, and more.

The village's annual Lights of Lisle event is this weekend. Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, when the Santa Parade brings Santa downtown. He will then travel to the Museums at Lisle Station Park to visit with children at the North Pole Depot. Winners of the coloring contest will ride the trolley. Enjoy holiday performances by children following the parade in the Board Room of Village Hall where cookies and hot chocolate will be served. The day will also include an ice carving demonstration behind Village Hall along with children's crafts, brick-oven baking, and black-smithing at the Museums. Attendees can travel on a trolley or hay ride and see festive holiday decorations downtown. At dusk, about 2,000 luminarias will line the …

Get Ready for Lights of Lisle, Once Upon a Christmas

The first week of December will bring several holiday activities for all members of the family to downtown.

from the Village of Lisle Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lisle Park District, and the Lisle Heritage Society have announced the dates for the annual holiday festivities in downtown Lisle. The annual Santa Parade, featuring the official arrival of Santa, starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and works its way from Ogden Avenue south on Main Street through downtown Lisle; turning east on Burlington Avenue and ending at the Lisle Village Hall. Santa’s final destination is the Museums at Lisle Station Park where he will take requests from good little boys and girls. Village Counts Down to Tree Lighting

During last night's Lights of Lisle festival, Mayor Broda lit up the village's Christmas tree for the first time.
