District 200 Board Member Endorses Chris Hage for 42nd State Representative District

Barbara Intihar, vice president of the Community Unit School District 200 Board of Eduction, endorses Chris Hage for the 42nd State Representative District.

The following is a letter from Barbara Intihar: As a life-long education advocate, I have served many years on my local school board and in not-for-profit literacy organizations.  I believe that good public schools are an important element to our way of life in DuPage County. As a product of the Illinois Math and Science Academy and the University of Illinois, two world-class state funded educational institutions, Chris Hage knows how important a good educational network is for our community. District 42 Candidate Chris Hage Responds to Gov. Quinn's Budget Speech

Chris Hage, Candidate for State Representative, 42nd District responds to Gov. Quinn's budget speech.

Governor Pat Quinn yesterday called his annual budget address his "rendezvous with reality."  In fact, it was nothing less than a date with delusion. We once again heard from a governor who only wants to point fingers and appoint blue ribbon panels.  The governor's unwillingness to do the heavy lifting shows once again why it is crucial to have Republicans in Springfield who know how the system works -- and how it doesn't work. This governor is incapable of finding actual solutions. Let's not forget this is a governor who just a year ago rammed through a 67% tax increase on the people of Illinois.  Now we learn from the Chicago Civic Federation that all of that extra tax money is going entirely for pension obligations.  Yet the governor …
