Ronnie Dunn to Replace Gary Sinise at 'Rockin' for the Troops'

"Rockin' for the Troops," benefitting Operation Support Our Troops - America at Cantigny will feature headliner Ronnie Dunn. Tickets go on sale Feb. 13.

Country music star Ronnie Dunn will replace longtime headliner Gary Sinise at Cantigny's annual "Rockin' for the Troops" concert this summer. The July 20 fundraising event for Operation Support Our Troops - America (OSOT) is now in its eighth year. This year's theme will be "Only in America," celebrating the 10-year anniversary of OSOT and highlighting one of Dunn's hit songs, according to Cantigny's website.  "We are very excited about the addition of Ronnie Dunn to Rockin' For the Troops. Country music has a long and proud tradition of unwavering support for our military and there are few who demonstrate that better than Ronnie," said OSOT America President Deborah Rickert in a statement. Gary Sinise Stops in Lisle to Support Operation Support Our Troops Fundraiser

Sinise's band, the Lt. Dan Band, is a regular fixture at OSOT's annual fundraising concert, Rockin' for the Troops. Ticket sales for the July concert kicked off Thursday, according to Daily Herald.

  Actor Gary Sinise stopped at Navistar headquarters in Lisle on Thursday to support the kick-off of ticket sales for this year's Rockin' for the Troops concert, according to the Daily Herald. The Rockin' for the Troops concert benefits Operation Support Our Troops – America, a volunteer organization known primarily for sending care packages to deployed Army and Marines stationed overseas. The organization also offers advocacy and job training for returning veterans. Rockin' for the Troops is on July 21 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. Tickets are $25.
