Lisle Man Gets 26 Years for First-Degree Murder in Crash

56-year-old Donald Mischke was fleeing a robbery and under the influence of cocaine when he crashed into and killed a young mother in Waukegan, testimony said.

A 56-year-old Lisle man will serve 100 percent of 26 years in prison for first-degree murder for crashing into and killing a 25-year-old mother in Waukegan in December 2010, the Daily Herald reports.  According to the paper, Donald Mischke, 56, was charged with crashing his car into Elisha Clark-Idelburg’s (of Grayslake) and killing her while fleeing police at speeds up to 100 mph after breaking into a Waukegan Target and stealing a $600 flat-screen television to pay for cocaine, which he also had in his system at the time of the crash, prosecutors said. Mischke will serve concurrent 26- and 7-year terms for first-degree murder and aggravated DUI; a first-degree murder charge can be applied if a victim is killed while the offender is …

Lisle Woman Arrested in Connection with Two Naperville Armed Robberies

Ana M. Barajas, 22, of the 4000 block of Blackhawk Lane in Lisle, was charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly holding up a Philips 66 in Naperville on Thursday.

Man Charged With Lisle 7-Eleven, Weldon Hardware Thefts

The robber reportedly used his hand to simulate a gun, according to the Daily Herald.

Lisle Police arrested a suspect Wednesday night on suspicion of two incidents of theft at the Ogden Avenue 7-Eleven and Weldon Hardware on Main Street. Police said they located Tyris L. Robinson, 28, on the 1100 block of Ogden Avenue. Police said his last known address had been in Maywood; but he is also listed as residing on the 4500 block of Dumoulin Avenue in Lisle. Robinson is accused of attempting to rob a 7-Eleven employee of money in the cash register on Feb. 4. Robinson was not successful in removing money from the register, and after a struggle with the employee, fled the store with "several cans of beer." He is also accused of taking a conduit bender, with a value of $30, from Weldon Hardware on Feb. 13. Robinson is charged with …

Police: Man Robs Ogden Avenue Kmart Seeking Narcotics

At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Naperville Police said a man entered Kmart seeking drugs from the pharmacy.

A man demanding drugs from the pharmacy at Kmart early Thursday got away with an undisclosed amount of two narcotics, according to Naperville Police. Around 9:30 a.m., police said a man entered the Kmart on Ogden Avenue and showed a note at the pharmacy counter demanding certain drugs from the pharmacy, Sgt. John Westlove said.  “The [pharmacy technician] gave the man an undisclosed amount of Fentanyl and Oxycodone. He fled from the store through the parking lot eastbound,” Westlove said. The man did not display a weapon during the robbery, he said. He is described as a white male, 18 to 25 years old, 6-feet-tall with a medium build and a tattoo on his face below his left eye, Westlove said. He was wearing dark clothing. Police will be …

Here are some items from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on Feb. 14.

An unknown person smashed through the front door of Lee’s Cleaners, 2771 Maple Ave., and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register between midnight and 6 a.m. on Feb. 11. During the same time frame, an unknown person smashed through the front door of Sunrise Cleaners, 6478 College Rd., and removed money from the register.   Speedway Gas Station robbed by armed man On Feb. 12 at approximately 8:50 p.m. an unknown male suspect walked into the Speedway Gas Station, 550 Ogden Ave., and walked behind the sales counter displaying a handgun. Lisle Woman Charged In Chicago Armed Robbery

The Chicago Tribune reported Da Naan Fujiwara and an accomplice were charged following a Wednesday morning robbery attempt.

According to the Chicago Tribune, a Lisle woman was arrested in connection with her complicity in a robbery at a Jamba Juice yesterday morning. Da Naan Fujiwara is considered a "willing participant" along with a Plainfield man, who are both scheduled for hearings Dec. 15.
