Lisle Woman Arrested in Connection with Two Naperville Armed Robberies

Ana M. Barajas, 22, of the 4000 block of Blackhawk Lane in Lisle, was charged with aggravated robbery after allegedly holding up a Philips 66 in Naperville on Thursday.

Ogden Ave., around 5:56 p.m. yesterday, according to a Naperville Police Department release.  A gas station employee told police a masked person armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun demanded money from the register, police said. DuPage County Judge Elizabeth Sexton set bail for Michael J. Moreno at $750,000 Thursday. He is charged with driving under the influence of marijuana during a fatal motorcycle accident on Ogden Avenue in Naperville on Wednesday.

A DuPage County judge has set bail at $750,000 for a Plainfield man charged with aggravated reckless driving in Naperville after his car crashed into a motorcycle, killing a Lombard man Wednesday. Michael J. Moreno, 31, of the 11700 block of Presley Circle in Plainfield, is being held on $750,000 bail and charged with aggravated reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving the death of another, possession of cannabis and obstructing a peace officer, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert B. Berlin said in a news release. Naperville Police issued a news release early Thursday morning and said Moreno was driving under the influence of marijuana. Harley Rider Seriously Injured in Ogden Avenue Accident Friday Night

The driver of a Honda Civic and a motorcyclist collided at Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard. Police are looking for information related to the incident.

A motorcyclist riding a Harley-Davidson was seriously injured Friday night in a traffic accident at Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard.  Naperville fire and police departments responded to the accident, which occurred at about 7:22 p.m., according to Naperville Police. An initial investigation indicated the motorcyclist was heading east on Ogden Avenue entering the intersection of Naper Boulevard and at the same time the driver of a Honda Civic turned left onto southbound Naper Boulevard colliding with the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Edward Hospital, according to police. The driver of the Honda was not injured. Drivers: Keep Speed, Safety in Mind Along Ogden Avenue Tuesday

Thirteen agencies will partner for traffic enforcement along the Ogden Avenue corridor.

Drivers along Ogden Avenue know it’s not unusual to find some motorists who push the speed limit. Tuesday, drivers who frequent the avenue may want to take care and drive within the limit. A special traffic enforcement effort will be underway along the Ogden Avenue corridor involving 13 law enforcement agencies. The goal of the campaign is to increase motorist safety through traffic enforcement and education, according to a news release from the Naperville Police Department. Enforcement efforts will be geared toward speeding, safety belt violations as well as traffic violations. Each law enforcement agency will have its own enforcement action plan depending on the needs of the community, the news release said. Agencies participating …
