UPDATE: Convicted Killer Mistakenly Released is Caught

The Cook County Sheriff's office is looking for Steven L. Robbins, 44.

Updated Saturday, Feb. 2, 10 p.m. Steven L. Robbins was taken into custody at 10:55 p.m. Friday night. Robbins was located a Kankakee home, where he was found wearing a wig and watching TV, the Chicago Tribune reports. Robbins, who is serving a 60-year sentence in an Indiana prison for murder, was taken to Cook County to face a local charge against him. After his case was dismissed, Cook County Sheriff's officers, who did not have any paperwork stating he was serving prison time in Indiana, released him and even gave him bus money, the Tribune reports. Robbins has been handed over to authorities in Michigan City, Ind., where he will continue serving his sentence. ____________________________________________________   Original Article …
