Craving pizza? Try the new pizza from Lucano's Pizza & Catering at 2950 Ogden Ave. The restaurant launched under a new name after ending its franchise agreement with Barraco's last month. Through June 14 the restaurant is offering a free 16-inch cheese pizza to those who purchase a 16-inch one-topping pizza with a grand opening coupon on their website. Or try something else from its full menu of pastas and sandwiches. Did anyone notice the change to Barraco's this weekend? The owners of the pizza place at 2950 Ogden Ave. recently ended its franchise agreement with Barraco’s, and re-launched as Lucano's Pizza & Catering this past Friday. “We wanted to stay in the community, but just change the name,” said owner Alex Dreznes. The restaurant offers delivery and catering of its full menu of pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches. (Carry-out is also available, of course!) Dreznes said that while customers can expect several familiar items, they were able to lower menu prices since they are no longer paying franchise fees.
