Lisle Woman’s Club to Host International Dinner March 6

After dinner, several foreign students from Benedictine University will talk about their respective countries and the experiences they’ve had in the United States.

Lisle Woman’s Club will host its annual International Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the meeting room at Lisle Library, 777 Front St. After dinner, several foreign students from Benedictine University will talk about their respective countries and the experiences they’ve had in the United States. Guests, who are welcome to attend this potluck, are asked to contact one of the chairmen by March 1 to RSVP and mention and what dish they plan to bring. Lisle Woman’s Club Gears Up for Annual Garden Gait

The gardens of seven Lisle residents will be on display Sunday, June 24. Tickets are currently available.

submitted Seven gorgeous private gardens will be enjoyed during Lisle Woman’s Club’s tenth annual Garden Gait.  The garden walk festivities will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, beginning at The Museums of Lisle Station Park.  The park is located at 921 School St., just north of the Lisle Village Hall. Participants can savor tea and cookies in the Beaubien Tavern, one of the museums at the park, browse and buy at the garden necessities booths, and purchase garden enhancing perennials.  The museum buildings, property of the Lisle Park District, will be open for tours given by members of the Lisle Heritage Society.  Free parking is available south of Burlington Avenue, in the lots west of the Village Hall.
