Police Blotter: Speeding, No Valid Driver's License

Here is an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on May 1.

Jose M. Ocegueda, 21, of the 1200 block of Woodruff Road, Joliet, was charged with no valid driver's license and speeding on May 1. This arrest was the result of a traffic stop at 4:59 p.m. conducted by a Lisle police officer at Yackley and Burlington avenues, police said.

Police Blotter: Driving on Suspended License Charge After Accident

Here is an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter March 24.

Victor Chavez-Calderon, 33, of 211 Parker Avenue in West Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license at 7:29 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at Maple and Yackley avenues after a traffic accident with property damage, police said.

Police: St. Patrick's Day Crackdown Results in 3 DUIs, 7 Other Arrests

The Lisle Police Department reported Wednesday the results of their state-funded "crackdown" on drunk driving around St. Patrick's Day.

Lisle police charged three people with driving under the influence of alcohol, and made seven other "significant arrests" during an increased enforcement period earlier this month around St. Patrick's Day, officers said. Similar "crackdown" campaigns around St. Patrick's Day were observed statewide by other Illinois and local law enforcement branches. "The campaign featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, which included a strategic media campaign as well as additional enforcement activity," the Lisle Police Department said in a news release Wednesday. "Extra emphasis was given to late-night hours, as statistics show the highest number of motorists drink and drive and the fewest motorists buckle …
