Tina's Closet Honors Vets During Anniversary Gala

It was a big month for downtown retailer Tina's Closet. To cap off a month of celebration for her 25th anniversary, she was honored at a Silver Anniversary gala. Proceeds benefited the Lisle VFW and Support1000.

On the eve of Memorial Day, Tina celebrated her success by honoring the men and women of the U.S. Armed Services with a special ‘thank you’ to VFW Post #5696. Meeting Highlights: Liquor License Changes, Earth Flag Acceptance

Changes to numbers, types of liquor licenses Aside from the recent revocation of Vini’s liquor license, trustees approved a few additional changes to the village’s current liquor license numbers: Trustee Ed Young moved to defer a change to liquor license ordinance until the board’s next meeting. The proposed amendment clearly defines which individuals qualify as management at a restaurant, and are therefore subject to background checks for a liquor license.   Acceptance of Earth Flag Coinciding with the village’s 21st year of practicing recycling, Mayor Joe Broda accepted the Earth Flag on behalf of the village board and staff.
