Pete DiCianni, Sean Noonan and Liz Chaplin elected to DuPage District 2.
Editor's Note: All results are unofficial. It was a tight race in DuPage County District 2, but with all 159 precincts reporting, three winners have emerged. Elizabeth Chaplin, a Democrat from Downers Grove, received the most votes, with 34,625 (25.6 percent). "I am so grateful to all those that supported me and I am excited to get to work on the DuPage County Board," Chaplin said. In second place is Elmhurst Mayor Pete DiCianni, a Republican, with 34,044 votes (25.17 percent). The other two Republicans were in a fight to the very end. Anyone registered to vote in DuPage County may vote early at the Village Hall.
The Lisle Village Hall will be an early voting site for the Nov. 6 General Election. Anyone registered to vote in DuPage County may vote early at the Village Hall, located at 925 Burlington Ave. Early voting throughout DuPage County begins Monday, Oct. 22, and ends Saturday, Nov. 3. The days and times to vote at the Lisle Village Hall during the early voting period are as follows: For the location and hours of other early voting sites, call the DuPage County Election Commission at 630-407-5600.

A new program allowed Benedictine University students to spend a day as a DuPage County election judge.
Last week I was one of 300 Benedictine University students chosen to participate in the election judge training program. On Nov. 2, all of those who completed the online training were able to take part in the democratic process firsthand, at locations throughout DuPage County To be honest, I had mixed emotions before Election Day. I was not looking forward to spending over 14 hours in one location in the middle of another busy school week. On the other hand, I was looking forward to learning more about the election process that has a major impact on our country. This was my first time working as an election judge, so everything was new to me. My parents had told me how fortunate I was to have the opportunity to act as an election judge, …
