Lisle High School Baseball Player Combines Team and Volunteer Club for Joint Effort
Senior Ty Howell is one of three enterprising students who founded Friends of Feed My Starving Children. Sixty-one students participated in the club's latest one-night effort.
Have you heard about Lisle High School's latest service club? The Friends of Feed My Starving Children formed earlier this school year, and has seen great strides in its numbers in just a few short months. Friends of Feed My Starving Children works to benefit its affiliate organization, Feed My Starving Children, through both volunteer work and fundraising. The service group began with the efforts of students Robbie Dean, Jake Haseltine, and Ty Howell. You may remember their trip to Feed My Starving Children’s Aurora facility in October, where they assisted in packing 6,680 meals for adolescents around the world! The group got even more physical with their efforts in February, this time by sponsoring a three-on-three basketball tournament …

Twenty-seven were baseball players. There wasn't a roster of volunteers included for the tournament or trip to Schaumburg, but I'm sure female students participated!   more ›
