Lisle Business Raises 3,700 Pounds of Food for Local Food Pantries

The collected items were split between three local pantries in the area: Loaves & Fishes, People’s Resource Center and West Suburban Community Pantry.

AlphaGraphics of Lisle/Naperville recently raised more than 3,700 pounds of food for the AplhaGraphics Fights Hunger food drive. Tim Wayman and Doug Wade, owners of that AlphaGraphics location, went above and beyond for their first year participating in the drive. They credit their staff and the community in which they serve for rallying around this great cause and donating multiple boxes of food. "All members of our staff were just as committed as the owners to make the campaign a success. Feeling in the Giving Mood? Stop by These Donation Locations

Several businesses are running food, clothing and toy drives during the month of December. Help us compile a comprehensive list!

Food Lisle Savings Bank accepts canned and dry goods all year round at their Main Street and Maple Avenue locations. Donations go to the West Suburban Food Pantry in Woodridge.   Clothing Leo’s Cleaners: gently-used, clean coats will benefit the Sharing Connections Furniture Bank in Downers Grove. (Sharing Connections is also accepting new toys and gift cards.) Lisle Library District: The People’s Resource Center of DuPage County will benefit from new and gently-used coats, boots, hats, scarves and mittens.   Toys Evviva!, The Nook, and Weldon Hardware Supply are collecting toy donations for Toys for Tots. 48th District Rep. Donate Thanksgiving Fixings to Lisle CVB Food Drive

Bring non-perishable food items for the West Suburban Community Pantry to donate to those in need.

Please consider helping DuPage families by providing non-perishable food donations. The event is an avenue to give back to communities for the holidays and offer service. The Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau continues its one-month food drive through Nov. 30. Collection boxes will be in their downtown Lisle 4746 Main Street office, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, where members of the community can drop off their donation. Wyndham Lisle Continues Charity Efforts This Christmas

from Wyndham Lisle The Wyndham Lisle-Chicago Hotel and Executive Meeting Center recently announced it is partnering with the Reverend Paul Hall's Community Center to help feed and clothe an estimated 2,000 people this Christmas Eve in the South Side of Chicago. The hotel will also be collecting unwrapped toys in its lobby now through Dec. 20 in conjunction with the community center's long-running "Adopt-a-Family-for Christmas" food, toy and clothing drive. This year marks the third consecutive year the hotel has collected and donated food, toys and clothing to the community center with the help of area vendors and the local community.
