DuPage Medical Group hosted a grand opening celebration for its new medical facility in Lisle. The three-story, 100,000 square foot facility will offer state-of-the-art cancer treatment, primary and specialty care, an immediate care center and advanced diagnostic services. The new $39 million facility is located on Warrenville Road, just west of I-355. Mayor Joe Broda welcomed the group to Lisle and acknowledged the important access to quality health care services the facility will provide. Other speakers included CEO Mike Kasper, President Paul Merrick and COO Dennis Fine. Afterward, attendees were offered tours of the facility. The facility will officially open Monday, Dec. 3. DuPage Medical Group did not secure a health care permit prior to construction last year, according to Crain's Chicago Business. The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board was set to review the project Tuesday evening.

DuPage Medical center's Lombard facility is an outstanding facility but it will be nice to have a branch in town also. In response to Cathy's comment I don't understand the implied risk. If you are worried about radiation you probably get more from your cellphone than being next door to a new medical facility and last time I checked Cancer wasn't contagious. more ›
