Lisle Man Charged With Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Here's an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on April 4.

Valentin Bonilla-Huerta, 25, of the 4900 block of Keller Street, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at approximately 1:46 a.m. on April 4 on the 2100 block of Ogden Avenue. Bonilla-Huerta was also charged with improper lane usage, driving while license suspended, and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was processed and released at the Lisle Police Department.

Lisle Man Charged With Driving Under the Influence in Naperville

Here's an item from the Naperville Police Department blotter on March 23.

  Charles James Drager, 21, of the 2600 block of Normandy Place, was arrested at 11:22 p.m. on March 23 at East Ogden Avenue and North Columbia Street, Naperville Police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the limit and following too close. His bail was $3,000.

Lisle Woman Charged With Driving Under the Influence in Naperville

This item is from the Naperville Police blotter on March 14.

  Naperville Police said Karen Lynn Neeson, 60, of the 5800 block of East Lake Drive, was arrested at 10:43 p.m. near East Jefferson Avenue and South Brainard Street. She was charged with disobeying a traffic control device and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. He bond was $3,000.

Lisle Men Charged With Driving Under the Influence in Naperville

These items are from the Naperville Police Department blotter on March 11.

Driving under the influence Anthony James Beavers, 23, of the 3000 block of Tangley Oaks Trail, was arrested at 4:05 a.m. near West Jefferson Avenue and South Main Street, Naperville Police said. He was charged with disobeying a stop sign, operating an uninsured vehicle and two counts of driving under the influence. His bond was $3,000.   Police said Kevin Patrick Lynch, 31, of the 1600 block of Burlington Avenue, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue in Naperville. He was charged with unsafely backing up on a roadway and two counts of driving under the influence. His bond was $3,000.

Woodridge Woman Charged With DUI

Here's an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on March 1.

Kimbrely M. Kresman, 33, of Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence at the intersection of Route 53 and Noble Drive on Feb. 25 at approximately 12:20 a.m. Kresman proceeded to perform unsatisfactorily on field sobriety tests after she was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She was transported to the Lisle Police Department, and released on bond.

Blotter: Driving Under the Influence, Theft from Motor Vehicle

These items are from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on Feb. 27.

Driving under the influence of alcohol Thomas Y. Hatekayama, 23, of Schaumburg, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 23 at approximately 1:10 a.m., according to Lisle Police reports. Hatekayama was pulled over for driving 58 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour zone. He was charged after failing field sobriety tests, and was processed at the Lisle Police Department.   Burglary from motor vehicle The stereo and navigation system of a vehicle in the parking lot at 2777 Buckingham Dr. was taken between the hours of 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 24. An unknown assailant or assailants smashed the passenger side window to access the vehicle, according to reports.

Lisle Man Charged With DUI In Naperville

Here's an item from the Naperville Police Department blotter on Feb. 2.

Mitchell Joseph Naumann, 27, of the 5800 block of Oakwood Drive, was arrested on Feb. 2 at 2:06 a.m. at the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive, Naperville Police said. He was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Blotter: DUI Charge Issued After Hitting Parked Car

Here's an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on Jan. 10.

  Lisle Police responded to a call about a disabled vehicle on the 600 block of Hitchcock Avenue at at approximately 11:09 p.m. on Jan. 4. Witnesses reported "that a parked vehicle had been struck by the vehicle that was now parked a few houses away." Police spoke with the owner of the second vehicle, Robert J. Decker, 43, of Downers Grove. After officers confirmed that Decker's vehicle had been involved in an incident, they administered a field sobriety test. Decker failed subsequent tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Decker's car was towed from the area.

Designate a Driver: Police Department Increasing Holiday Weekend Patrols

The Lisle Police Department is conducting a roadside safety checkpoint on Dec. 28, with increased attention to seat belt violations and impaired driving.

The Lisle Police Department recently announced its plans for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” impaired driving and safety belt enforcement crackdown during the holiday period. The intensified enforcement effort to combat late-night impaired driving and safety belt violations underscores the disproportionate number of traffic deaths occurring during late-night hours. The department will conduct a Roadside Safety Checkpoint along Route 53 on the evening of Dec. 28. Officers will focus their efforts on DUI (driving under the influence) and other traffic safety concerns such as proper occupant restraint usage. I think you're right--a road block can catch those safety violations, but a single intersection probably isn't effective for DUI enforcement. Where would you place patrols for DUI? I always see squad cars at the strip mall along Maple (with Trinity, Comstock, Dick Pond, etc.).   more ›

Blotter: Driving Under the Influence, Domestic Battery

These items are from the Village of Lisle Police Department on Dec. 5.

Driving under the influence Ramon F. Aguirre, 36, of the 1300 block of Burlington Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Route 53 and Warrenville Road at 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 2. Aguirre is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended. Domestic battery Michele M. Nitzki, 47, of the 4000 block of Chelsea Avenue, was charged with domestic battery on Dec. 3 at 2:10 p.m. Nitzki was involved in a physical altercation with a family member and was transported to the DuPage County Jail following her arrest, according to police reports.
