Do you know about the DuPage County Derby Dames? They're a flat track roller derby league composed of women from our very own western suburbs. You can meet all of the players on the Derby Dames website, or stay tuned to team updates on their Patch blog. Saturday the Dames are hosting their third bout of the season with the theme "Smack to the Future." A portion of the night's profits will benefit diabetes research. Find event details and ticket information in their first blog post. The DuPage County Hounds, a brand new summer collegiate wood bat baseball team, also recently joined Patch's team of bloggers.
