Indictments in Meth Bust, Lisle Dad's Threatening Messages to Daughter's Coach: Court Watch

Written by Dan Campana Lisle: A grand jury has indicted a Lisle man on telephone harassment and aggravated battery charges stemming from an October incident involving a high school volleyball game. John Kasik is accused of leaving threatening messages for his daughter's volleyball coach at Lisle High School, and later bumping the school's athletic director during a meeting. Kasik is free on $300,000 bail with a scheduled court appearance - at which he will likely be arraigned - on Nov. 19. Court Watch: Man Pleads Guilty in Lisle 7-Eleven Robbery; Adult Film Start Jenna Jameson Defaults

A round-up of recent court dispositions in DuPage and Kane counties.

One of four men charged in a July robbery at a 7-Eleven recently pleaded guilty for his part in the incident, records show. Steven Gayden, 17, admitted to one count of robbery in a plea deal with prosecutors that included the dismissal of mob action, criminal damage to property and aggravated battery charges. Gayden was sentenced to four years in prison, although he received a recommendation for boot camp that could have him released earlier. Gayden admitted he used force to take liquor and tobacco items from the store. Three other men - DeShaun Wilson, Antonio Finley and Antwan Jones - were also charged. Their cases are pending. A Willowbrook man charged in the shooting death of a Hinsdale South High School graduate has pleaded not guilty…

Naperville Man Pleads Guilty to Ordering Hit, Sentencing Confusion in Armed Robbery Case

An update on DuPage County Court cases making headlines in this week's Court Watch.

Written by Dan Campana The following are recent developments in DuPage Court cases: Lisle: Ladislav Fromelius, 73, of Naperville, recently pleaded guilty in connection to a 2010 attack plot in a dispute over an estate. Fromelius entered a blind plea with no sentencing agreement after admitting to asking an undercover police officer to commit an aggravated battery. Prosecutors initially accused Fromelius of paying the officer $2,000 to beat up the executor of an estate. Fromelius is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 24.
