DUPAGE: Darien: A man accused of shooting heroin with his wife in a gas station bathroom while their children were left inside a running car has pleaded not guilty to a drug possession charge. Andrew Burr denied the charge during a Jan. 23 hearing before Judge Kathryn Creswell. Andrew and Georgina Burr, both from the western Illinois town of Walnute, were arrested on Christmas Eve. A grand jury recently indicted the couple. Georgina Burr is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 6. Elmhurst: Judge George Bakalis reduced bail on Jan. 23 for a Libertyville man accused of committing a hate crime when he carved racial epithets into a dorm window ledge on the Elmhurst College campus in December.
