This strip mall pizza joint has a lot of everything: menu options, seating, bacon and community spirit.
Looks can be deceiving, and this is especially true with Passero’s Pizza. It is so much more than a carry-out pizza place in a strip mall. And, if you are driving by 5328 S. Main St., it is easy to miss. My family and I were surprised to find an extensive menu, multiple televisions, game room for the kids, beer and wine for the parents and an owner who cares about the community. Originally opening in 1980 and having ties at one time to Papa Passero’s Restaurant in Westmont, manager Matt Siuda has seen some changes. “I started working here in 1993 and haven’t looked back,” said Siuda. “I enjoy coming to work everyday and especially enjoy the smiles on all the kids' faces when they walk through the door.” Owner Jignesh Patel bought the …
