PHOTOS: Phillip Phillips Performs at Benedictine University's BenBash

The Georgia native performed mostly songs from his albums, including his first single “Home,” and his newest single, “Gone, Gone, Gone."

American Idol's Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips was greeted by a full crowd during Benedictine University’s BenBash Saturday night, as hundreds came to watch him perform. The Georgia native performed mostly songs from his albums, including his first single “Home,” and his newest single, “Gone, Gone, Gone." This summer, Phillips will tour with John Mayer. A pre-party was hosted by KISS-FM, followed by New York native Lauren Shera as the opening act.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13, Phillips will perform at Benedictine University's BenBash. Concert doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Rice Center Arena for a pre-party hosted by KISS-FM, followed by an opening act (to be announced) kicking off the music and then Phillips headlining the show.  General admission tickets are $30 and can be purchased on Benedictine's website, but we want to send you to the show for free. 'American Idol' Contestants from Naperville, Downers Grove Leave Show

Alex Oechsel, of Naperville, and Mariah Pulice, of Downers Grove, were both selected to go to Hollywood but didn't make it to the show's Top 40.

By Melissa Sersland Two local American Idol contestants have left the show.  Earlier: 'American Idol' Sends Naperville Resident, Benet Student to Hollywood Alex Oechsel, of Naperville, and Mariah Pulice, of Downers Grove, were both selected to go to Hollywood last month after American Idol's season 12 auditions in Chicago.  Oechsel is a junior at Benet Academy and has performed in numerous productions at North Central College as well as Benet Academy. 'American Idol' Sends Naperville Resident, Benet Student to Hollywood

After auditioning in Chicago, Benet Academy junior Alex Oechsel makes it to the next round in Fox's 'American Idol.'
