Originally established in the late 1800's as St. Procopius College Academy, Benet was formed in 1967 by the merge of…More St. Procopius for boys and Sacred Heart Academy for girls. Now more than 1,300 students hail from DuPage County, as well as Cook, Dekalb, Grundy, Kane, and Will counties. Benet offers religious and three language courses in addition to core classes, as well as several opportunities for students to earn AP credit. Ninety-nine percent of Benet students are accepted to two- and four-year institutions, and 65 students in the last five years have been named National Merit Scholars. While they do not require service hours for graduation, the school encourages community outreach through its programs and student clubs.
Benet is affiliated with Benedictine University. The web site contains school history, academic programs and teacher web pages, as well as a calendar and admissions information.
