The concept of the Chicago Bulls/White Sox Training Academy originated in 1994 when the Chicago White Sox began a program specifically for kids. The group's goal was to provide a fun and safe environment to teach athletics, while maximizing the skills and building children's self esteem. Lisle's very own Chicago Bulls/White Sox Training Academy opened in 2001. Try-outs are held throughout the summer for baseball season.
