Kiwanis Club Brings Christmas Cheer to Lisle Township Families

The group sponsored its annual Christmas party on Dec. 10.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, the sponsored their annual Christmas party for children living in Lisle Township, who needed some Christmas cheer. The Kiwanis have sponsored this event for over 30 years.

The event took place at from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fifty-two families (roughly 146 children and 85 adults) attended. They were welcomed by Christmas music, and they were able to get face painting done or balloons items for the kids made by an elf. A moonwalk was available for their enjoyment and the gym was open for playing basketball. In addition, Christmas pictures were available for coloring and Christmas puzzles for solving.

At 2:30 p.m. the entertainment came on stage, when Kidzmagic by Andrew, a magician with a rabbit, kept all the kids enthralled for an hour with his feats of wonder! After that pizza and drinks were served to all in attendance. Santa arrived with toys for all the children who left with beaming smiles on their faces. Helping out at the party where numerous Key Club members from , which is sponsored by the Kiwanis.
