PHOTOS: 4th of July Parade

Several village groups walked in the Fourth of July parade.

Did you make it out to Wednesday's parade or the ice cream social by Lisle Heritage Society at ? Several village officials, community organizations, and local sports teams marched down Main Street, including:

  • Knights of Columbus
  • Lisle Character Counts Alliance
  • Lisle Teens With Character
  • Lisle Community Band
  • Lisle Baseball and Softball Leagues
  • Collie Rescue of Greater Illinois
  • Lisle Township Democrats
  • Senator Ron Sandack
  • Yomechas Federation
  • West Suburban Community Pantry
  • Mayor Joe Broda, trustees Cathy Cawiezel, Lee LaFond, Ken Modaff, Ed Young, and Village Clerk Tim Seeden.

I assumed the Park District would have stolen the show again since they were cooling residents off, but I was impressed by dance routine the Lisle Library District worked into their walk.

Trustee Joe Schmitt was in the parade as well, driven by wife, Judy, in her stunning white Volkswagen beetle hard-top convertible! Trustee Cathy Cawiezel

The Library was awesome! The Army and Library were my kid's favorite.
