Hot Air Balloon Will Kick Off Lisle Library's Summer Reading Program

The RE/MAX balloon will assist kids in kicking off this year's summer reading program. Participants barreled through more than 17,000 books last summer!

The is prepared to launch its summer reading program on June 20. 

To celebrate, the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will help the library present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network. Their balloon crew will be present at , east of the soccer fields near Route 53/Lincoln Avenue and Short Street, at 7 p.m. on June 20.

Approximately 200 students are expected to attend the presentation and learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, according to release from RE/MAX. They also will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.

If weather permits, the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height!
