While you’re at the festival, “check in” on your phone! The Lisle Park District could earn a $100,000 grant if Lisle Community Park is voted “America’s Favorite Park!” http://lisle.patch.com/announcements/lisle-community-park-requests-votes-to-help-win-100000-grant

They called Eyes at 9pm, at the time when the headliner should have started. Steve Miller was on by 8pm, at which point it made no sense to stop the show... Here it made sense to clear the park before the headliner began, since the storms developed around 8:30pm. The lightning began at 9:30. It was a wonderful display of thunder and lightening by 10pm... which was why Lisle was shut down. Unfortunately, while Lisle was probably being a little overcautious, but made the right call.

Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels had already taken the stage and what now appears they played out of courtesy to their fans, their major hit. Only then was the announcement that the fest had been shut down.
