USA Today Football Rankings: Redwings 20th, Lions 265th in State

Illinois and national rankings have been released for the 2013 high-school football season.

USA Today has released their national rankings of high-school football teams for the 2013 season, and of 579 teams in Illinois, the Benet Academy Redwings are ranked 20th and the Lisle Senior High School Lions are ranked 265th.

In the list, Benet's offense is ranked 41st in the state and their defense is ranked 11th; Lisle's offense is ranked 321st and their defense is ranked 195th.

Nationally, the Redwings are ranked 418th; the Lions are 6,572nd.

The top five Illinois teams according to the ranking are: No. 1 Mt. Carmel, Chicago; No. 2 Loyola Academy, Wilmette; No. 3 Lincoln-Way East, Frankfort; No. 4 Glenbard West and No. 5 Neuqua Valley, Naperville.
