Arbor View Park Baseball Field Ribbon Cutting Set For Oct. 13

The event will include a carnival and baseball clinic with giveaways.

Arbor View Park's baseball field was the recipient of a $20,000 field makeover grant sponsored by Chevrolet, Major League Baseball, Scott's, and Ripkin Design.

Lisle Park District officials said the renovations were completed in mid-September.

To celebrate the newly renovated field, a ribbon cutting ceremony, carnival and baseball clinic with giveaways is scheduled from 10 a.m. noon Saturday, Oct. 13, 4455 Arbor View Drive.

The event will include complimentary refreshments.

So we can expect a tax cut next year?
Maria October 11, 2012 at 03:37 AM
Abate the 20K from the tax levy!

The field renovation was donated.

At least that is what I heard from fellow baseball dads

Taxes should be reduced by the amount of the donation.
Carter October 13, 2012 at 07:54 PM
That doesn't make any sense George. They received a field renovation valued at 20,000 dollars. It has nothing to do with taxes. Hopefully, it will get more children into sports. I drove by the field earlier and I think it is wonderful.
