How long have you lived in Lisle District 202? 25 years

Number of children?
Two

Why are you running for school board?

Because I care. I care for the well-being of our children and the return on investment of our taxpayers. I believe there are good and bad ways to run our district, and that I will provide a rational and informed opinion into the decision-making process.

What are the best qualities of Lisle schools?

The attention to the proper and effective education of our children. The community of Lisle has a history of taking an active role in supporting and advancing the goals of the district.

What are the challenges facing School District 202?

There are some financial challenges, as there are with almost all districts in the state. We also need to plan for resolution of the Meadows Center property. The District continues to strive to proactively address bullying issues, sadly this is a continuing battle.

The state of Illinois' finances are strained. Do you feel the district is financially secure?

For the time being, we are not in any trouble, but the issue of finance requires careful and vigilant attention.

What do you want voters to know about you?

I have been involved with District 202 since working with the Technology Committee and the Facilities Task Force several years ago. My goals are to do my best to insure the children in our district have the best access possible to the highest quality education and to insure the taxpayers get a fair return on their investment in our youth.
