LSHS Ecology Club Gets Green to Stay Green

The Jewel Corporation recently made a $330 donation to the LSHS Ecology Club.

○ Whiz Kids: the LSHS Ecology Club
○ Whiz Kids' School:
○ Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Last week the club was awarded a little more than $330 from the Jewel Corporation for taking part in the Five for the Future program. The company donated 5 cents for every local resident who used reusable bags in their store, which will be used at the Ecology Club’s discretion. (The program is being discontinued by Jewel.)
○ Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: According to Ron Logeman, LSHS’s former principal, the club is still debating how to use the funds. One idea includes planting trees around the high school’s campus for Arbor Day.
