District 203 Hosting Capacity Forums

A number of capacity forums will be held at District 203 junior high schools over the next few weeks.

has announced its schedule for upcoming public forums on its capacity revision plan. The district said that members of the public are welcome to attend any of the upcoming events, which will be held at district junior high schools. 

According to District 203, the forums will include a presentation of draft maps with an explanation, provide information and allow attendees to ask questions and offer input. All feedback will be recorded, according to the district. All of the meetings are tentative depending on the progress of the Enrollment Capacity Study Committee and its review of the draft maps.

The District 203 Board of Education meeting will be held Monday at Kennedy Junior High. The meeting location was changed to allow for a larger turnout. The board will be given an update during its meeting, but no recommendations have been made. The board meeting will be taped for later viewing on NCTV17.

All of the public forums will be held from 7-9 p.m.
