DuPage County Chairman Dan Cronin is seeking applicants to serve on boards and commissions.
DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin of Elmhurst is inviting residents to serve their communities and help reform government by joining the Citizens Service Team.
“We have made some solid progress over the past year in making local government more accountable, more transparent and more efficient. But we still have a lot of work to do," he said. "Therefore, I’m asking residents to consider using their skills, interests and initiatives to make a real difference in DuPage County by becoming a part of the Citizens Service Team."
The Citizens Service Team is made up of people who serve on boards and commissions, such as the Water Commission, Board of Health and Mosquito Abatement Districts, which are responsible for overseeing tax dollars and providing vital public service.

In order to succeed, the county needs a new team in place, Cronin said.
“We need fresh leadership and innovative ideas in order to succeed in the new approach to reform local government. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, business owner, student or just someone seeking a way to contribute to the community, please join our Citizens Service Team,” Cronin said.
