Projected salaries for Wheaton Public Works employees is available on the City of Wheaton website.

Salary and benefit information for public employees is public record. We post this information because we think it will be of interest to our readers, many of whom are Wheaton residents and taxpayers who foot the bill.

What about the retirement benefit (pension, IMRF, 401k, whatever the type of retirement benefit)?

The above table includes what was provided by the city, except for uniform allowance (these employees did not have a uniform allowance).

The path to the source document in the authors post is www.wheaton.il.us > Departments > Human Resources > Compensation Report. www.wheaton.il.us/departments/hr/default.aspx?id=166 The Adobe file name is, "FY2013 Total Compensation Report Final (2)-1". The report is titled, "City of Wheaton, Public Act 97-0609 Total Compensation Report, March 22, 2012." The 171 City of Wheaton employees (not just public works but also other city, police, fire, and sanitary district employees) whose "Annual Total Compensation" is above $75,000 are listed as is required by by state law (Public Act 97-0069). The City of Wheaton has chosen not to include the employee names, only their titles, thus the need for Charlotte's FOIA. Poor transparency on part of the City as the taxpayer ultimately pays the salaries of the employees.

I wonder if the IMRF pension contribution is included in "Annual Salary" in the above link?
