Electronics and Battery Recycling

Lisle residents can drop off unwanted electronics and old household batteries for recycling, free of charge, during one of the ’s monthly collection events held
on the third Saturday of each month.

The next collection event will be held this Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at 4930 Lincoln Avenue (IL Route 53). Volunteers and employees from Creative Recycling will unload participants’ recyclables.

Items accepted include: electronics, computer equipment, cell phones, televisions, VCRs, fax machines, video games, stereos, and small household appliances such as blenders, microwaves, toasters and alarm clocks. In addition, household batteries - such as AA, AAA, C, D batteries, hearing aid batteries, lithium batteries and camera batteries - will also be accepted.

Hazardous waste or electronics containing liquids or other hazardous matter (such as refrigerators, air conditioners, or batteries for vehicles, boats or sump pumps) are not accepted.

The monthly recycling events reflect Lisle’s sustainable focus and are designed to help reduce waste and conserve precious resources for future generations.
