Cronin Accepting Applications to Fill County Board Vacancy
DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin seeks board member to replace Debra Olson, whose resignation is effective Dec. 15.
DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin is accepting applications from District 4 residents to fill a vacancy created by Republican Debra Olson’s resignation, effective Thursday, Dec. 15.
Cronin wrote in a statement Wednesday, “I encourage District 4 residents to consider serving on the County Board. This is a great opportunity for community leaders to take an active role in making the right decisions for taxpayers.”
Dec. 5 and will take a position as the new executive director of the DuPage Homeownership Center.

Those interested in serving District 4 for the remainder of the term, which expires Nov. 30, 2012, should submit the following to Chairman Cronin’s office:
- A cover letter of intent;
- A summary (no more than 300 words) as to why the applicant is interested in serving on the County Board;
- A resume; and
- An application, which can be found at http://www.dupageco.org/CountyBoard/CountyBoardListing.aspx.
The applicants will be reviewed by Chairman Cronin and the chosen nominee will be approved by the County Board.

Applicants must reside in District 4 and be a member of the same political party as Olson. A map of the district boundaries can be found at http://www.dupageco.org/CountyBoard/District_Map/2509/.
