Bob Mandel Named New Village of Lisle Trustee

Mandel, a father of three, has lived in the Village for 20 years and is heavily involved with local events and volunteer organizations.

Two-decade Lisle resident Bob Mandel was named a Trustee of the Village of Lisle at the Board's Monday meeting, replacing former Trustee Ed Young, who resigned from the Village Board on May 21 after serving for fourteen years to become a Lisle Township Trustee.

According to a post on the Village's official website, Mandel is the Chief Financial Operating Officer of Option Monster Holdings, Inc., while wife Lori works for Lisle-based Forest Envelope. Their three children all attended Lisle Senior High School and the family are members at St. Joan of Arc Church.

Mandel is involved with several local volunteer organizations, including Lisle Teens with Character, Misericordia Heart of Mercy, IC Stars and the Knights of Columbus, and assists with a multitude of local events from Eyes to the Skies to Relay for Life, the post said.

“Bob Mandel will be a great addition to the Board and I’m thankful he agreed to serve. His qualifications are second to none," Lisle Mayor Joe Broda said in the post. “Bob not only brings superb professional credentials to the position, he also has a track record of serving the community that few can match. He will work hard for all of Lisle.”

Mandel will serve the rest of Young's term, through April 2015.
