Police Warn Residents to be Wary of Vehicle Break-Ins

Police encourage residents to reach out if they have any information on a series of burglaries from vehicles in multiple locations.

Lisle Police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occured on the night of April 27. They did not disclose the locations, but encourage any residents who have information regarding the burglaries to contact the department at 630-271-4200.

Police encourage residents to roll up all windows and lock vehicles, even when parked in garages or driveways. Don't leave keys or valuables such as phones, laptops, purses, GPS devices, and money in plain view. Always report suspicious activity to the police department.

We have (3) fewer employees in the police department thanks the the Village Board's lack of priority in making this year's budget cuts. Instead of paying for police protecton and prioritizeing public safety, Lisle taxpayers will spend over $80K for flowers/planters on Main St (where no one goes), a few grand on Chamber of Commerce luncheons and dinner dance tickets this year, and begin the process of turning over millions to Navistar.
