Police Blotter: DUI, Resisting Officer

Here is an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on March 19.

A 40-year-old Lisle man is headed to court after an incident with police on March 19.

Police said Richard J. Nendza, of the 4900 block of Main Street, drove a vehicle that almost struck a squad car at about 10:38 p.m. The vehicle then continued north on Main Street from Route 53 at a high rate of speed.

The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with Nendza in the 4900 block of Main Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, battery (to a police officer) and resisting a police officer. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Nenzda was transported to the Lisle Police Department where he was processed according to policy. An initial April 23 court date was set and Nenzda was released on bond pending a court hearing.
