Gerardo Valdes-Soto, 22, 2538 W. 45th St., Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 6:42 p.m. in the 4600 block of Windward Road, police said.

Michael Knowles, 32, 1137 N. Springfield, Chicago, was taken into custody by the Illinois State Police at 7 p.m. at 2888 Windsor Drive, police said. Reports state the Lisle Police Department held an active original arrest warrant for Knowles for a charge of obstructing/resisting an officer. Due to the numerous charges against Knowles he was taken to the DuPage County Jail and processed by sheriff personnel, police said.
