UPDATED: No Injuries in Smoking Dryer Case

While a smoking dryer was the reason for a Tuesday afternoon fire alarm in Green Trails, officials have not ruled a definite cause.

Lisle-Woodridge and Naperville fire protection districts responded to a fire on the 6400 block of Woodbriar Court shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to bureau chief Dan Anderson, the resident reported that their dryer was smoking. Responders arrived to heavy smoke throughout the house, and took out the home's skylights.

Anderson said the fire was extinguished in 10 minutes, with some heat and smoke damage to the home. The house was ruled uninhabitable. No occupants were injured, and the cause of the incident is still being determined.
