No Injuries in McDonald's Fire

Lisle-Woodridge firefighters responded to a grease fire at the Maple Avenue McDonald's around 7 a.m.

Fire officials said no one was injured and no significant structural damage occurred during a morning grease fire at , 1019 Maple Ave. Trucks from the and responded around 7 a.m., blocking off nearby businesses including , as well as one eastbound lane of Maple Avenue.

Fire officials said the only equipment damaged in the fire was the restaurant's built-in fire extinguishing system. Responders are still on the scene as of 7:45 a.m.

The restaurant will remain closed pending an emergency inspection by the . The inspection is procedure following power outages and other incidents that would cause a temporary closing.
