Man Charged With Lisle 7-Eleven, Weldon Hardware Thefts

The robber reportedly used his hand to simulate a gun, according to the Daily Herald.

Lisle Police arrested a suspect Wednesday night on suspicion of two incidents of theft at the Ogden Avenue 7-Eleven and Weldon Hardware on Main Street.

Police said they located Tyris L. Robinson, 28, on the 1100 block of Ogden Avenue. Police said his last known address had been in Maywood; but he is also listed as residing on the 4500 block of Dumoulin Avenue in Lisle.

Robinson is accused of attempting to rob a 7-Eleven employee of money in the cash register on Feb. 4. Robinson was not successful in removing money from the register, and after a struggle with the employee, fled the store with "several cans of beer."

He is also accused of taking a conduit bender, with a value of $30, from Weldon Hardware on Feb. 13.

Robinson is charged with robbery, aggravated battery in a public place, and retail theft. He is currently being held at the Dupage County Jail.
