Man Robbed Pizza, Chinese Food Delivery Men at Gunpoint: Police

Restaurant employees robbed with a gun, knife in the 300 block of Drake Court, police said.

A Bolingbrook man is accused of robbing food delivery men at gunpoint twice in one week — on the same block, police said.

Chillis W. Moultrie, 22, of 3 Parkside Drive, faces two counts of aggravated robbery/indicating that he was armed with a firearm in connection with separate incidents last week, according to court records.

Bolingbrook Lt. Mike Rompa said police responded to the 300 block of Drake Court at 10:56 p.m. May 20 after a pizza delivery driver reported an armed robbery. The male victim said he was delivering pizza when he was approached by two male suspects, who pointed a gun at him and demanded money, according to police.

The suspects removed $15 from the victim's pocket, and even stole the pizza and drinks, police said. The victim was not injured, Rompa said.

Two days later, at 8:30 p.m., police received a second report of an armed robbery on the same block.

In that incident, a man was attempting to deliver Chinese food to a home in the 300 block of Drake when two suspects, described as black males, approached him, police said.

One offender was armed with a knife and demanded the victim's money and cell phone, Rompa said. The suspect took a phone and money from the victim's pockets and fled on foot, according to police. As in the first incident, no one was injured, police said.

Rompa said an additional suspect or suspects are still being sought in the cases, which remain under investigation.

Moultrie was taken into custody by Bolingbrook police on Parkside Court, Rompa said.
